Black Hill Creative brings together the skills of photographer and designer David Fulford and the hands-on teaching environment of Black Hill Studio & Darkroom.
The studio produces high-quality content that highlights the work of makers, educators and creative organisations across the region.
Commissions range from exhibition documentation and small print projects to full website builds and visual identities.
A significant part of the practice is shooting for artists, creating portfolios that capture both finished work and the quieter details of process, materials and studio life – images made to support exhibitions, websites and funding bids. Work often combines photography, design and digital delivery, from documenting studio practice and community projects to producing clear, engaging materials for education, culture and small businesses. Each project is shaped collaboratively, with an emphasis on thoughtful storytelling, practical outcomes and work that feels grounded in its context.
The Sculpture Lounge website is designed and developed by Black Hill Creative with the majority of the site’s photography by David.
